Aces catch fire in perfect weekend against Devilettes
Sommers Generator Systems Atom Aces had a successful home and away series last weekend against the London Devilettes compiling 4 more points.

The action all started early Saturday afternoon at the London Sports Park with the Aces jumping out to an early 2 goal lead. Rylee Nethercott opened up the scoring with Kiara McGregor adding the second. McGregor sniped again early in the second to make it 3-0 Aces. The Devilettes made a comeback run with with a goal nearing the end of the period but Olivia Rau put the fire out with a cannon of a shot less than a minute into the third.
Nethercott has been snake bitten in the first couple of regular season games but she silenced the Devilette fans with her second goal of the game. Kiara Mcgregor had a career day scoring her third completing the hat trick as hundreds of hats littered the ice. The Aces had a dominant 6-3 victory and were carrying full house of momentum into the home opener on Sunday.
The Devilettes came to Stratford for the Aces home opener Sunday afternoon with a bitter taste left from the loss on Saturday.
The Aces took the ice to their new warmup soundtrack that really pumped their tires. Stratford had London pinned in their own end for the majority of the first and second periods with stellar forechecking and tight defense. Olivia Cote-Wawryszyn kept the Aces fired up with fist pumps and ear to ear smiles when McGregor drew first blood with a dagger into the top of the net. McGregor added an insurance goal three minutes later to put Stratford up 2-0 after 2. The third period was a back and forth battle when the storm of the century hit with 6 minutes left in the game leaving the Arena without power. The ladies all left the ice safely and the game was called final.
The upcoming weekend will have the Aces looking to steal four more points from the Chatham Outlaws doing an away and home series.
Good luck next weekend ladies!!!
