NotesThe Stratford Perth Auto Dismantlers Novice
B Aces finally played there first home game of the season earning a victory
against the Willmot Wolverines. In front of family and friends, the Aces came
out firing on all cylinders providing an exciting offensive game. Jayda Houben,
Emma Van Nes, and Emersyn Miller scored for the Aces with assists coming from
Keira Blain, Teresa Schuster, Claire Donnelly and Linley Porter. Chloe Rison
who turned away several attempts by the Wolverines provided the shut out.
On Sunday, the Novices were back on the
road and played an exciting game in South Huron. Both teams played very
physical hockey with momentum swinging both ways throughout the game.
Unfortunately the Aces were on the losing side of the scoreboard but not
because of effort and heart. Chloe Schultz and Eve Binns battled hard in the
offensive end but couldn’t solve the Sabres goaltender. At the other end of the
ice, Krista McMahon and Niamh Appel did what they could to stop the aggressive
South Huron team. Jayda Houben found success crashing the net and gobbled up a
juicy rebound scoring the only goal for the Aces.
