Aces Host 3 Home Games
The Stratford Perth Auto Dismantlers Novice B Aces had another busy weekend, hosting 3 home games. First up, on Friday night the Aces took on Cambridge, then on Saturday they took on Guelph and finally on Sunday the Aces played South Huron. During the weekend the girls remained undefeated.

Playing in front of the hometown crowd, the Aces came to play on Friday night. About half way through the first period Eve Binns opened the scoring with a beautiful goal. The Aces carried their strong play into the 2nd period, again scoring about half way through the period. This time the goal came from Emersyn Miller. Cambridge would come back and score to make it 2-1, but the Aces never let up scoring two quick goals. Binns scored to make it 3-1 with an assist from Miller. Right after that Linley Porter came out and scored her first goal as an Ace! Cambridge scored at the end of the second to make it 4-2. Keeping the momentum going in the third, Miller scored 10 seconds into the period. Cambridge would come back and score another goal, but the Aces won 5-3. Ace of the Game went to Linley Porter and Defensive Ace of the Game went to Krista McMahon.

On Saturday the Aces played Guelph and they kept the momentum from Friday night going. The first period saw both teams get many chances, but both goalies stopped them all. In the second period Miller scored to put the Aces up 1-0. From there the Aces took over, scoring two goals in the third period. Miller scored 20 seconds into the third to make it 2-0. She completed the hat trick late in the third with assists coming from Chloe Schultz and Emma Van Nes. Chloe Rison was a wall, stopping all shots she faced, to earn the shutout. The Aces won 3-0. Ace of the Game went to Keira Blain and Defensive Ace of the Game went to Chloe Rison.

The Aces finished off the weekend with a game against South Huron. Both teams came out strong, but the Aces were able to open up the scoring with a goal from Miller. Shortly after the Sabres came back and tied it up. The rest of the game was back and forth, both teams getting opportunities to score, but neither team could put one by the goalies. The game ended in a 1-1 tie. The girls finished the weekend with two wins and one tie, making it clear that we are a tough team to beat at home. Ace of the Game went to Chloe Schultz and Defensive Ace of the Game went to Jayda Houben.
