Novice Aces Lose Two at Home
The Stratford Perth Auto Dismantlers Novice B Aces stayed home this weekend to host Kitchener Lady Rangers on Saturday and the Huron Heat for Aces Day on Sunday. The Aces started the weekend providing the home town fans an exciting game right to the very end.

The game was very competitive with both teams trying to score but the goalies put on a clinic for two periods. With both teams having lots of shots and no goals it was just a matter of time before somebody opened the scoring and it was Kitchener who struck first. Down by two goals with just over four minutes left in the game, Emersyn Miller scored a beautiful goal on an assist from Eve Binns. The Aces continued the offensive push and the goalie was pulled putting Emma Van Nes on the ice which resulted in her burying a big rebound to tie the game. Unfortunately for the Novice team, the Lady Rangers snuck a late shot in for the loss. Ace of the Game went to Emma Van Nes and Defensive Ace of the Game went to Chloe Rison.

Sunday was Aces day in Stratford, and the Huron Heat was in town. Both teams fought for puck possession throughout the game. The Aces opened up the scoring with an unassisted goal by Miller to start the third period. As the game wore on, back-to-back battles took its toll on the Aces and they couldn’t hold off the first place Heat.  Defensive Ace of the Game went to Linley Porter and Ace of the game was Claire Donnelly.
