The Perth Auto Dismantlers Novice C Aces traveled to
Mitchell to face off against the Meteors in their final regular season game
this year. With a couple of girls missing, the coaches were faced with the challenge
to rearrange the lines.
Period one and two saw a bunch of opportunities, but the girls just couldn’t beat the Meteors net minder. Ten minutes into the final period, Stephanie Tsaltas scored a great goal on a pass from Lila Mortimer to Tessa Burdett to Stephanie. This goal was the catalyst to a game that ended in a 5 – 0 win with Marta Rintoul recording her 10th shutout of the year.
All three centers followed this goal with unassisted ones of their own. Aveleen Flood at 8:14, Olivia Rau at 7:29 and Tessa Burdett at 6:47.
The final goal was scored with only 24 seconds left in the game by Aces defence woman Hannah Mogk, who came forward as left wing. What a spectacular way for Hannah to score her first goal of the year. Congratulations Hannah on this achievement and great job in earning the Coaches First Star Award for your solid play today.
