Notes
Peewee B Aces Get Tie in Heartbreaker In league action on Sunday morning at the Allman the All Equip Peewee B Aces skated to a 1-1 tie with the Ingersoll Ice. Coming out of the gate flying the Aces opened the scoring at 4:30 of the first period. Putting the puck by the Ice tender was Hailey Walsh from Mihret Eliasziw. Despite firing multiple quality shots and having some juicy rebounds the Aces forwards could not find a way to put another shot past her. The defense kept the strongest of the Ice shooters to the outside and did not allow many quality shots but those that did get through were steered aside or trapped by Emma Ivey. With one minute to go the Ice pulled their goalie and tried to hem the Aces in but could not. The Aces pushed the puck up the ice and had it in the offensive end until one breakout pass released the Ice and they skated up on a 3 on 2. Ivey stopped the first shot but then the Ice squeezed one home high blocker side with a mere 9 seconds remaining in the game. While heartbreaking the girls played hard and the wins will start to come with continued hard work.
