The Dunnys Source for Sports Peewee BB Aces saw their playoff run come to an end after an exciting game in Wilmot Sunday night. The three game series started in Wilmot last weekend when the Aces dropped a 1-0 game to the home team, but then had some redemption when the Wolverines came to Stratford on Saturday. Lily Daum opened the scoring for the Aces in the first period which was quickly followed up by goals from Mikayla Flanagan and Madison Smith. The Wolverines had to call a time out in order to regroup in the first period. After Wilmot popped in two goals of their own to come within one, they pulled their goalie to put the extra attacker on the ice late in the third period. Brooklyn Rau of the Aces fired in a shot into the empty net, and the Flanagan potted her second of the game to seal the win for the Aces.

On Sunday the Aces travelled back to Wilmot for the final and deciding game. Both teams battled for the first three periods which remained scoreless. The five minute overtime was also scoreless which led to a shoot out. Wilmot's first shooter netted the one and only goal of the shootout giving them the win.

The Aces now look forward to a tournament in Burlington in March and then working towards the Provincial Championships in April.
