Waterloo Raven Tournament
This past
weekend the Stratford Aces First Student Canada Midget BB participated in the
Waterloo Raven’s Hockey Tournament........
In the first game of the tournament the girls faced the host team from Waterloo, lead one to nothing going into the third the girls were unable to hold off the Waterloo team losing three to one. Taylor Woodhouse with the only goal unassisted. Second game against North Halton, there was no scoring in the first. Aden Green scored from Tara Pickering and Payton Murray in the second to take the lead. Woodhouse scored from Maggie Schweitzer and Rachel Dotzert to seal the two to nothing victory. Teagan Chevrier earned the shut out. Stratford then faced Burlington and lost three to one, Maddie Munroe scored from Leah Balfour. In the final game of the tournament Stratford faced Ilderton, Munroe opened the scoring on a power play goal from Emma Drake and Bridget McCann. Ilderton tied the game before the end of the first also on the power play. Ilderton scored the only goal in the second. Balfour tied the game in the third from Green and Cailey Gavin only to have Ilderton score with thirty six seconds left in the third to win the game.
