Novice Program 19-20 (Stratford Aces Girls Hockey)

PrintNovice Program 19-20

Hockey Canada and the Ontario Women’s Hockey Association, have set new guidelines for Novice programming which will begin next season. All Sanctioned Hockey Associations, both Girls and Boys, must follow these guidelines.

The Stratford Girls Hockey Association is pleased to offer the Novice Development Program for the 2019-20 Season.
Following the Hockey Canada model, practice ice will be split into half ice. The purpose is to introduce the basic skills of the game, and make a child’s first introduction to the game one that is safe, enjoyable, and fun.

This is a great opportunity for novice age girls to play with girls only with minimal travel. Due to OWHA regulations this program is for 7 and 8 year olds only (2011 and 2012). Underage players are not permitted.

The cost for this new program is $450. That said, as this is the first year for the program, the Ace's organization would like to encourage new players to join and will provide each player with a $50 signing bonus discount if registering for spring tryouts. To register for spring tryouts please see our Tryout page at Tryout Information
