Novice B's Hustle out of the Gate
Flanagan's Off Ice Training Ensures Her Ace of the Game in 3-2 Nail Biter

Any rust that may have been formed by the combination of timely summer rains and late night summer camp fires was easily shaken off as the Ace Novice B girls gave a determined effort in a 3-2 win over the Woolwich Wild Saturday morning in Elmira.

A blistering wrist shot from the blue line by Ace offensive player of the game Niahm Appel was tipped by Kiera Blain to opened the scoring in the first period while the great lateral movement of net minder Reese Flanagan blocked shot after shot from an onslaught of Wild sticks throughout the game keeping the game close. Flanagan's off ice spokesperson Hayley F commented on some off season equipment upgrades and extra training that may have contributed to Reese's apparent early mid-season form that earned her the Ace defensive player of the game to ensure this first win.
The newly formed powerhouse line of Jule Cameron, Chloe Shultz and Brooklyn Finnie contributed two goals with Cameron finding the back of the net on both of the line's goals, Jule's second coming seconds before the arena curfew-ed the game for time lifting the Aces to a 3-2 victory.

The girls came together for their first practice Sunday and were thrilled to be presented with practice jerseys sponsored by Rod Smith Financial!  Many thanks from everyone on the Aces Novice B Team!IMG_8773001.jpg
