Atom C - Season Wrap-up
The Stratford Atom C Nutrition House Aces wrapped up their season this weekend with a 2-1 win in Lucan and a 1-0 loss to South Huron. On Saturday Stratford traveled to Lucan and built a 2-0 lead on goals by Jillian Pitts & Mckenzie Dietrich. Lucan tied the game late in the third and were pressing for the tie. Ella Wouters stayed strong defending the goal making a great shoulder save in the last minutes of the third.
On Sunday the Atom C Aces traveled to South Huron to take on the first place team. The Aces played a excellent game working hard to compete with the opponent. South Huron went up by one, the game winner on a breakaway goal. Megan Arnold played excellent in net to keep it a one goal game. The South Huron goaltender also made great saves to hold off Stratford.
The Aces now look forward to February 3-5 weekend when they travel to participate in the B.A.D. girls hockey tournament prior to playoffs.
