Peewee B - Peewee's Clinch First Place!
The Vancea Financial Peewee B team travelled to Walkerton Sunday and came away with a 5-3 win. Walkerton scored two quick goals in the first and had a 2-0 lead but Stratford fought back and with four minutes left in the first, Nicolle Crowley scored two unassisted goals to tie the game. Goals scored in the second by Allison Zimmerman and Samantha McLeod put the game at 4-2. Walkerton answered back early in the third making it 4-3 but Crowley again scored with three minutes remaining to clinch the win for Stratford.
Shayla Brooks had two assists with others going to McLeod, Zimmerman, and Madison Webley-Bruce. Carly Plain and Maeggan Ball were solid on defense helping goalie Megan Jesse earn the win. With only one game left in regular play, Stratford Peewee B's have clinched first place with a record of 16-2-3.
